YORKTON, Sask. – As the 2025 regular season for PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada competition wound to a close Saturday night in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, two-time and reigning national Champion Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) delivered a dominant 3-for-3 performance to win the Touring Pro Division’s Mazergroup PBR.
Tetz, who was sidelined for the majority of 2025 after breaking his femur in March, got off to a hot start in Round 1, tying for the top score when he outlasted Rip Dinger (Vold Rodeo) for 84 points.
The young Albertan continued his momentum in Round 2 reaching the whistle on Sling Shot (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 83.5 points.
In the championship round, Tetz capped his flawless outing inside Westland Arena at Gallagher Centre with an 83.5-point score aboard Jingle and Go (Wilson Rodeo).
Tetz’ golden showing earned him 66 national points, propelling him from No. 12 to No. 10 in the national standings.
Atop the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus, No. 1 Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) and No. 2 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) tied for sixth, while No. 3 Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia) was shutout.
Parsonage and Buttar both went 2-for-3.

The 2022 PBR Canada Rookie of the Year then punctuated his time inside Westland Arena with an 84.5-point effort aboard Knee Knocker (Vold Rodeo) in the championship round.
The podium finish propelled Schmidt from No. 24 to No. 19 in the national standings.
Third was Austin Paley (Beverlodge, Alberta).
Paley collected 37.5 national points for his 83.5-point ride on Chit Chat (Vold Rodeo) in Round 1 and 86.5-point trip atop Whistleblower (Kinky Buckers) in Round 2. The young Albertan was denied the event win when he was tossed by Garlic Gangster (Vold Rodeo) in 1.62 seconds in the championship round.
In the Canadian standings, Paley rose three spots from No. 33 to No. 30.
Three-time PBR Canada Champion Aaron Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) was fourth, earning 32 points.
Competing in front of a home province crowd, Roy was bested in Round 1, bucked off by Ranahan (Kinky Buckers) in a close 5.97 seconds. Quick to rebound, the veteran competitor rode lights out on Championship Saturday, topping Black Row Baptist (Wilson Rodeo) for 83 points in Round 2, and Blood Creek (Vold Rodeo) for 86.5 points in the championship round.
Roy’s efforts led him to rise from No. 10 to No. 8 in the Canadian standings.
Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Weston Davidson (Strongfield, Saskatchewan).
Davidson collected 31.5 points for his matching 84-point rides in the opening rounds, making the whistle on Scooby Snacks and Sons of Junkie (Lazy S Bucking Bulls).
On the bubble of qualifying for the 2025 PBR Canada National Finals, Davidson rose from No. 18 to No. 17 in Canada.
In the bull pen, Sheep Creeper (Vold Rodeo) and Highway to Heaven (Kinky Buckers) bucked supreme, crowned the Bulls of the Event for their matching 43-point scores.
