We’re going to see some great bull riding action, the bulls have been bucking really well. They’re also trying to make a name for themselves to get into the Finals. Everybody is making that final push.
I can’t wait to see what happens Saturday night and these are some matchups that stand out to me.

Garrett Green vs. Night Stalker
Garrett Green has been riding really well this season like he has been his whole career. He’s a wily veteran and kind of stays in the shadows, but he’s always in contention for the Championship. This is going to be when he makes his push at the end of the year to try and get into that Top 5 to try and win his first Championship. This bull should be right in the gate to the right, sucking back up underneath himself. Should fit Garrett’s style really well, push him back into his hand. Look for an 86-87-point ride.
William Barrows vs. Night Furry
William Barrows is a kid that has dealt with injury wise for a young athlete. He had a broke femur and came back strong. We’ve seen him step up to the plate at the Canadian Finals Rodeo a couple of weeks ago and win the Canadian Championship. I think that is just the tip of the iceberg for what Barrows has instore for him, this kid is going to be a superstar. This bull Night Furry, a black bull from the X6 Ranch, right in the gate to the left. One that the guys like, one that they like to get on. Should be all day for William, an 85-point ride to set himself up great for the championship round.
Nick Tetz vs. House Fire
Nick Tetz is coming off a strong event in Las Vegas, stayed on for his team the Arizona Ridge Riders, but they didn’t make it through, so luckily for us we get to see him in Medicine Hat. This kid is a absolute superstar, rides them either way, up and down. This bull’s exact pattern is that. He might be to the right, might be to the left, but just good up-and-down, spinning either way. Look for Nick to knock this one out of the park, an 86-87-point ride to set himself up great for the championship round and try to win that next Canadian Championship.
Dakota Buttar vs. High Voltage
Dakota Buttar has been on this bull before, he’s had success on him. One that he loves, and I am sure that Dakota was very happy with this one. A lot of guys don’t get along with this bull, he’s sometimes in the championship round, really blowing, around to the left. Great bull from Slim Wilson and company. Look for a round win on this one, Buttar to take the long round title on him and set himself up good for the championship round. Really excited for this matchup. And watch this one to, he has some hook at the end to. So watch as the bullfighters work to keep Buttar safe.
Cody Coverchuk vs. Watermelon Sugar Hi
Cody Coverchuk is coming off of the Challenger Series Championship. He didn’t go down to the Finals, but still won the title, which is a testament to how good this guy is, the skills that he has, and the ability that he has. The bull that he has, Watermelon Sugar Hi, is a red, high-horned bull from Kinky Buckers, should be in the left. I saw Weston Davidson ride this bull earlier in the year, really blowing, popping and spinning to the left. Should fit Coverchuk’s style really, really well. Look for a great matchup here, 85-86-point ride.
Ky Hamilton vs. Busta Rhymes
Really cool that we get to see Ky Hamilton making his way up into the PBR Canada Series. I think it is a hint into Ky’s future as a bull rider, getting into the PBR transition from the rodeo side of things. Ky is a guy that stays on bulls, wins and wins Championships. And look for the same thing here. Busta Rhymes should be right in the gate to the right, might have a look to the right and back around to the left. Either way he goes, he should be good, one that Ky should eat up, set himself up great for the championship round. Look for Ky to make a statement in Medicine Hat and make a push to get into the PBR Canada National Finals.
